Golden Finch?

Yes it's an American Goldfinch...a male.

Thank you I was pretty sure I was right but after getting the House Finch wrong I just wanted to be sure. I love your photo, were you that close or do you have a good close up lens?

Congrats...you've been seeing lots of new birds lately!

I used a Superzoom camera on the Goldfinch shot. The new type of Superzooms are basically good Point-and-Shoot cameras with "monster" zooms on them. I also cropped the pic slightly to get a little closer.
