Found this under some clothes on the floor, it was a little sticky and hard to get out of the carpet fibers. There was some brownish-green puss that came out of the shell when I picked it up.
Notice is has that tiny little prick on the back side - not sure what in the world this thing is or what it came from. The biggest worry is that obviously it isn't "the" insect itself..which may be somewhere in our house. Hopefully not making babies!
