Coral Berry??

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

Someone gifted me with these two plants at the spring swap. I thought I knew where I wanted to plant them, but when I went out to do it just now I decided I'd better check again to remember all the data on them. Well, plant files say it's a ground cover and needs shade.Doesn't look like a ground cover to me.

Does anyone remember giving these to me? Can you enlighten me?

Sybil, it can be used as a ground cover in the woods but it is really a very nice shrub, I have it planted in my front bed as a foundation
planting and it looks very nice.
Your plant looks sick but it will probably recover, you could also plant it at the edge of the woods by your house.

Here you can see it in its glory at the Wildscape where I volunteer.

Thanks, Josephine. Yes, it is very nice, and I love your suggestion about planting it in the tree line here. I never put anything there, because it's would have to be hand watered. I can put it over by my tomato patch, though, because I have to water them anyway.

Actually, both of these plants have just a little yellowish tint in places, but it doesn't look like the picture--much better. I'm just a point and shoot photographer, so the colors suffer.
