Anyone Recognize this Chyrsalis?

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Found this hanging out on the back of my sunroom. Not smart to be against a brown background, though I guess it's similar to tree bark.

I am not sure, the color is rather light, but it could be a black swallowtail.

Does it have little bumps on it? I think Frostweed got it right.

It's empty. That butterfly is probably flying around your yard looking for nectar.

Definitely a swallowtail chrysalis. Could be Black Swallowtail or Pipevine Swallowtail as both of those species have a chrysalis that ranges from green to brown. Giant Swallowtail tend to be brown to gray. Doesn't look big enough to be a Polydamas Swallowtail chrysalis. Not sure what other swallowtail species you get where you're at but the shape it a swallowtail.

Thanks! I saw a yellow Swallowtail last week. Maybe that was it.
