Common Name: ILANG-ILANG TREE Scientific Name: CANGANGA ODORADA http://www.dipolog.org/Flowers.htm http://www.floridagardener.com/pom/cananga.htm

Well - after looking at the links provided by MaVie, I want both the ylan ylang plant and the Joy perfume tree. I wear Joy perfume, I think it would be fun to have the plant that produces the essential ingredient.
How can we get these plants? any one ever grow them?

Blum, TX(Zone 8a)

DIDN'T KNOW WHERE ELSE TO GO WITH THIS. READ ABOUT WISTERIA PROBLEM, ME TOO! IV'E TRIED ABOUT SIX YEARS WITH MINE, STILL NO BLOOMS.IV'E TRANSPLANTED IT THREE TIMES WAITING TO SEE IN BETWEEN, IF IT WOULD BLOOM. SOMEONE SUGGESTED IT WAS PROBABLY A MALE PLANT, I GUESS SO. I JUST DON'T TRY WITH IT ANY MORE. EVENTUALLY, I'LL GET ANOTHER ONE. IT WILL CERTAINLY BE WORTH TRYING AGAIN. THE SCENT IS HEAVENLY!
