I went outside tonight to check on the bud. I really didn't expect it to be open so soon. We have had rain off and on all day, so I was concerned about losing the flower. Much to my surprise, it was
already open. Here is my only flower so far this spring. This bloom looks to be about 6 inches in diameter. Maybe larger. It is just gorgeous. Maybe I will stay up a bit longer and see if I can snap a few more shots.
