I found her ( I assume it's a her) in my swimming pool filter this morning. She was carrying an egg sac too. The egg sac made me think wolf spider, but I have never seen an all black wolf spider, so I'm not sure.

This does indeed appear to be a female wolf spider, perhaps a Hogna sp. See http://www.flickr.com/photos/75906891@N08/6813778770 for an example.
