I planted some last fall and now don't know what to do with them. Do I use the onions that have came on the sides or what???

The topsets can be used as pearl onions or as flavoring for soups and stews. Very strong flavor. At an earlier stage, early in the year the plants are useful as green onions/ scallions. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/31430/

so now I can pull off the side onions and then when I get bulbs on the top.. plant them,,right??
