This is from a past RU. The leaves look like they are growing out of the top of a carrot.
ID help, please
Gomphrena of some kind. If it's in a red solo cup, it's probably from me and probably Strawberry Fields gomphrena.

I am not familiar with Gomphrena so I didn't recognize it, didn't know it has a big tap root.
Thanks, Stephanie. It is in a red cup, but the plant files says that the Straberry Fields Gomphrena is an annual. This little thing has lived through at least one winter, maybe two.
If it's not too cold, they'll survive the winter. Most of mine survive.
And they like full sun.
Well, OK then. Full sun it is. I now at least have the last of every current and left over plant in the space where I want to plant them. But now, a very big break I must take. Many grands coming in tomorrow to see their cousin, Jacob, graduate Saturday, so I'll be cooking up a storm for a few days.
If you've never seen a home school graduation, you've missed a blessing. There will only be 9 graduating together, but they really do it up big. It's all about the graduates (their own special videos, etc.) and a real event for them.
Mine that Stephanie gave me at the RU survived the winter, too. I was so glad because I have never been able to get the seeds to sprout.
