Most of these were obtained in 2010. During a trip to Florida I stopped by Bob Smoley's Gardenworld. He was very friendly and helped me tremendously.

My First Time Bloomers for 2013
They are beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
All pretty, but Fruhlings gold is spectacular !
Beautiful!!!
Thank you Guys! When you wait 2 1/2 - 3 years for flowers, it's nice to be able to share them with others that appreciate them. : )
They are NOT for the impatient! I have one going on 4 years old that has yet to bloom. LOL!
I have never seen Desert Haze before. It's beautiful. Four years seems to be the usual average for my first blooms.

Two noids this season isn't too bad. I don't know why seller's can't be more honest when sending us cuttings. I had 3 mislabeled epies this year and most of the iris I ordered bloomed with the wrong name.
I'm not exactly sure where these cuttings came from.... either a gift or trade somewhere along the way. I have been on the receiving end of NOIDs many times with other plants. I would never sell a cutting that hadn't bloomed for me and was confirmed as the real deal. Problem is .... it takes so long with the Epis before they bloom. Not like a daylily or something you pop in the ground and blooms in a monthy. It takes years of anticipation which makes the disappointment even worse.
I agree with you both. When I buy a cutting, it is because I love that flower. I want to know that when it does bloom for me, I will see that flower. Too many people aren't honest about it because nobody really wants to pay much for the noids. Personally if I like the flower, it doesn't need a name.
I notice in the epigallery that the flowers vary so much in shade and bloom design that they often look like something other than what they are named. I use the http ://www.epiphyllumsociety.org/ to make final decisions but that too is difficult due to bloom variances.
