I saw James Wong's short video on cucamelons - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x02CuLPYVdw .
His enthusiastic endorsement and the over-all appeal of these little jewels convinced me to order some seeds.
The seedlings are looking great and starting to send out some feelers to latch on to something, so I'm about ready to transplant them into my raised beds.
Has any one grown these and have any tips or comments?

Cucamelons - growing 4 the 1st time this year! Suggestions?
Those look really interesting. You'll have to let us know how they taste. Where did you get the seeds?

I believe Seed Savers Exchange has the seeds. Is that where you purchased yours?

I grew them in a hanging basket one year because they were cute, but never tasted them. They were neglected and hung in full sun during a season when I was away most of the summer, but survived heat and drought and still produced the tiny melons.
A garden friend just sent me a few seeds so I think I will try them again. I may even eat one this time.
Got my seeds at - http://www.underwoodgardens.com/
I got them wild here..will post a pic of mine when I get home..my son eats them in his salads..look like tiny watermelons..lol
They will make a root bulb like cuz they come back for me every year..mine climb on anything it get them tentrils hooked on..
