I hate when I do this...stick some seeds in a little jar and forget to label. Or worse, thinking I'll remember what they are! Guess we'll see what they are--or not, if I'm putting them in under the wrong conditions. The only answer is to put some here...and there...and thataway. Hmph.

I always think I will easily remember what they are but...many times they just are a mystery.

I won't even let myself put a seed in a container until I've labeled what it is. Lol I KNOW I will not remember.
I've done the same. In fact I just planted a flat of what I think are Abelmoschus aka 'Abel Moses' that my wife found in the deep freeze. The seeds are at least 8 yrs. old... but, like you, I figured nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Hopefully a few will come up so I can replenish my seed bank.
