Looked like a yellow variant house finch until you check out the beak.

Using Whatbird, I came up with a Cape May Warbler. Look at the photo titled, Cape May Warbler Female 3. It has that white spot on the tail. That is a cool bird. :)
Hey Chilly, I just heard from a local birder who said the same thing, Cape May. Glad to have it to add to the list.

I think it is interesting how the white spot is only on one side of the tail.
Our warblers have taken a break. We have had snow the last couple days. Unbelievable.
I know. I assumed it was something like a flower petal, not an actual spot. Very cool.
