Hello from south Ga!

Howdy!!

Just signed up here and wanted wave my hat at my fellow gardeners!

Am currently in the process of purchasing a home with a substantial amount of land. I hope to create wonderful gardens ranging from shrubs, perennials and annuals to vegetables and herbs... with bits of anything else I can think of in between. I was told that Dave's Garden was a great place to join for sharing of information, in other words, I'll need help! LOL!

You've come to the right place, I know I love Dave's Garden.
You can look up the plants you have bought or are considering buying. You can also ask about what plants other people have picked for certain situations, say a hedge, and get some good ideas. There are dozens of ways to use Dave's Garden to help plan a garden. If you have an idea put a few words in the search box and see if they turn up any posts along the same lines as what you're thinking about.

Yeah, I'm hooked. I go here almost every night and cruise through plants I'm interested in and check what's going on.
I just got back from a "round-up". That's were a bunch of us Dave's Garden nuts get together and share plants. It was fun, met a bunch of good folks who love plants as much as I do. Came home with a banana, white bird of paradise, and a dozen other plants. Left a car full behind.
If you click on a persons name it will get you to their page and the plants they have and want. You can also find out who has a certain plant by finding the "members who have this plant" link on the plant page. It's a good way to get plants for postage or make a trade for something you want. Especially for those high price plants you can't bring yourself to buy online.
