This one will really require a miracle. It was photographed around 3:30 in the afternoon a few days ago near Gonzales, Texas (map included). The bird was flying around in the sky along with a Red-tailed Hawk. It was much, much smaller, almost 1/2 the size of the hawk. It soared quite a bit. Unfortunately I didn't pay much attention to the wingbeats. I was trying to get a photo.I couldn't see it very well either since it was a silhouette in a bright, bright sky.
