I have been trying to photo this bird for 2 seasons. Finally!! I think it is a downy woodpecker, am I correct?

gessieviolet ~ They also enjoy sunflower seeds if you put the seeds in one of those cylindrical screen-type feeders made out of hardware cloth (with small square openings about 1/4"). They like to hang on the feeder and peck at the seed.

I found a couple of my pics showing the type of Sunflower seed feeder I was talking about. Of course, suet will still always be their favorite.
