I have one of these and it has gotten so big it has drapped over the edge of the pot and now breaking off.
Can I take cuttings and will they root??

Stay calm, we'll get it done. I think they are implying that the best stem cuttings are from the newer tips - stem cutting with 2-4 leaves on it. Try it and see.
