Reading about the irradiation that the PO is going to use is really going to just about eliminate trading brugs. I can't afford UPS, but the worst of that is it's so far away, just can't get to their office.
Does anyone have knightii for trade? CC, hoping that Hodniks order comes in before they start this. I guess it's on to buying after this:(
The machines are on order, and the first one will be in place in about 30 days. Dont' know how fast it would effect any one of us, but we won't know til it's too late.

I guess you are right...UPS is a litle to high for me too.Can you imagine what the cost for a Brug is going to be paying UPS from Germany...I know FedEx goes to Indonesia...I used to send things to my brother but it cost a small fortune $35.00 for 2 lbs and took 5 days to get there....this was just a year ago.

I am confused! (I know that is normal) I read about fruits and Vegetable being radiated and they are still sold as edible. Why would this radiation harm seeds and plants?
read about it in seed trading. The level is going to have to be so high, that it will certainly kill plants and seeds. Now these aren't in place yet, but before long.....

tig, they aren't going to put them everywhere are they? i guess i am naive, thought the head post master say they didn't need them everywhere. i don't know how many postoffices but there are so many, surely they don't have the machines ready to go... guess we could start a pony brug express....

A post Poppy made in 'seed trading' said they are going to put them in all the distribution centers. I know all our mail here in GA goes through the center in Atlanta. Actually, I was just trying to get someone up off a knightii!!! LOL!! I have no idea what they're going to do, I get worried, and then it seems okay. who knows:)

Here is a crazy question>>>>>>>>If this machine kills everything, how are the companies that mail out seeds, plants, etc. going to do it? People won't order if they have to pay any higher prices for postage than they already do. I'm not sure UPS would be able to handle all the added burden of delivering a couple of packages of seeds or a small box with a plant in it. Our UPS guy is run ragged the way it is now. Just something to think about.

there's a post in 'seed trading' I think, a letter from a seed company. They will take care of them, it's us little guys that will suffer unless they make some kind of provision for us. I certainly understand, don't want anthrax around the country, but....
