hello, last September ..2012, i rescued a small cutting of a jade plant that was going to be thrown away by a green house. the cutting was only 3 leaves. I cut a small piece off the bottom of stem so that the cut was fresh. I planted it in a 4" pot using regular potting soil/perlite mix. I let the soil dry out , but not completely, before I water again. I keep it by my sliding door to my deck where it gets sun about 6-7 hours a day. right now my jade is about 6" tall, with healthy green leaves, and a couple new stems growing off the main trunk. my question: am I caring for the plant correctly, or is there something I should or should not be doing? I thinking that 6" of growth ,from a couple leaves, in 7 months is pretty good. any suggestions ??

Hi mrdiesel,
Looks like you've got it nailed! Jade plants don't seem to need a lot of fuss. This photo is of a friend's jade plant.
I'd say keep on doing what you're doing with the result that you are getting already!
