CLOSED: HAVE: Sambucus nirga 'Black Lace'

(Zone 7a)

I have a well-rooted cutting of this plant. It is about 3" tall right now and grows fast. I planted mine 5 years ago and have trimmed it back twice. The parent plant leaves in Spring are a very dark brown, almost black. The new leaves after flowering start out a lime green and change to the darker color. It's one of my favorite plants. This is also known as 'Eva.'

Temp me with something but, please, no seeds.

Doh!!! LOL

A perennial would be nice. Something that doesn't get too large. I've recently gotten hooked on Daylilies, Verbascums, Salvias and Penstemons. Any of those would be great. I know you have extensive gardens. Iris would be good, too but I recently moved a ton around the yard. If you have a variegated one...?
