This plant has been blooming since February... but the other day there were 8 opened at once, so of course I had to grab the camera. : ) Hope you enjoy.

Thanks guys.... I love this one 'cause it stays managable. Some of my aporophyllums are 4 ft. long. hard to handle when they get all long and stringy.

lovely light color. xuling

That is an amazing photo. Beautiful color. Looks like it is last years crop of blooms. How is it doing this year.

Moonlight is still my favorite Aporophyllum. It did quite well this year. Blooming more every year. These pictures are from late March / early April.

Do any of yours have a vertical growth? As I posted elsewhere photos of my assumed Aporophyllum it has a 3 foot long upright growth with 4 finger like projections on top of it. The branches hang down do not look as smooth and soft as those in the photo above. xuling

xuling - Aporophyllums are all just a little different. I have one that is covered in so many spines it looks almost like fur, another is almost totally round with no discernible ribs, only a bump where the spines are. One has very large triangular stems.

I've never seen one with an upright stem that is 3 ft. long. They usually fall over by the time they get that size.

I will take some more photos and post them here. This stem is like wood. And there is another one or two growing. xuling

It definitely looks like an Aporophyllum to me. I grow mine in hanging baskets, and when the stems get long enough they fall over and start hanging. But, that's just a personal preference because it gives me more room. You can stake them up like you did, and let them grow that way also. Yours certainly looks happy and is growing very well. Really nice plant!!! Has it bloomed?

You saw it on the First (and only) Bloom. The reason the vertical is staked is that it was blowing around in the wind and I was afraid it would break off. There was no way it was going to fall over and start hanging. It was this tall when I staked it (about 1 month ago.) Curious beast that it is, but I like it.
