I've been seeing this pretty roadside weed on the way to Burleson, but we have none at our place. I think it's so pretty. What is it?
I would appreciate it if someone would tell me how to make these ?**#! pics stay right side up. I know I am technology challenged (oh, where is AustinRam when I need him?!!)
ID, please
when I edit my phones pix on the phone, they flip rightside up when I upload, but you lose picture clarity- or at least I do
Kitt, I rotate mine when I first see them (although I don't click "edit" first), but then when I put them on here they have flipped back again. Does "edit" make the change permanent?
Look up broomweed and see if that's it.
my edit makes it permanent, I don't rotate. does blur tho-i think lousy camera...
It is the Wild Mustard or Bastard cabbage as Dennis pointed out. This is a most invasive plant that is causing a lot of our native wildflowers to disappear from along the roadways and costing the state a lot of money to remove it.
I am seeing lots of it along the highway near my house. Seems worse than in previous years (although it really is quite spectacular).
Ha! I was going to dig up some to bring to Josephine, but after reading about it, I wouldn't dare bring it on my place for fear a seed would drop. That's all we need out here--another infestation.
Thank you for thinking of me Sybil, I think you made a good decition by leaving it alone.
Just wondering---why don't I ever get an infestation of roses or peonies, etc.?
Yea, that would be really nice !!!
