Rain on Easter

Liberty Hill, TX(Zone 8a)

Just wondering who else is getting rain? I don't have a gauge so I don't know how much but I love it.

We got a few sprinkles here this morning, but nothing to speak of, it has been sunny and warm all day.

About 4 PM we got a hard rain for about 20 minutes. It came suddenly so the street was briefly ankle-deep. 'Cooled us off about 10 degrees from 80 down to 70. Feels perfect now.

We had rain off and on until the afternoon. San Antonio was under a tornado warning, I'm glad we got rain but nothing too wild.

It rained a good bit at my place..maybe 3 r 4 hours...ahhhh..I just planted 75% of my hot peppers yesterday..still got few more to put in ground..glad those got a good soaking....

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

I got 1-1/2" overnight on Saturday and 3/4" around 8am on Easter morning. Luckily for me, I had just finished all the chores in the backyard. Now everything is green and growing and looking alive. I hope we get more, this area sure needs it.

We got 1/4 inch a few days ago. Other than that, dry with alternating freezes at night, and later in the week it will be in the 70's / 80's during the day. My plants are protesting (the crazy weather.)

Horrible storm came through here about 3:00, I guess. A lot of thunder and lightning, and heavy downpours for at least an hour or more. They're forecasting more rain tomorrow afternoon and I think all day Wednesday. I really should have gotten more down this weekend, or even this evening, but other things have managed to alter my priorities. Either way, I'm still happy we're getting rain.

Hope everyone is ok from the storms, and did not receive too much damage.

It started raining yesterday evening and a big storm came in last night it's been raining all day. I see more rain in the forecast, but cold weather too, supposed to get in here in about a week. The weather is changing my gardening schedule this year. I'm planting beets and radishes.

The rain came to north Texas yesterday too with that cold front. We don't mind the cold at all when it's raining! What a relief!

April showers bring May flowers... On cue this year.
