Hello to all,
I have just become a member, but have often used this site to get answers to my gardening questions. I live in Eastern Washington State (the dry side, not like Seattle at all!). I have a large yard and am working on it; my husband built me a 3 season greenhouse two years ago so am learning how to best use that also. I look forward to learning and sharing ideas with you.

Hello from another new member. Your picture demonstrates that you already possess a green thumb!!

Thanks Ag, I don't know about the green thumb, but thanks for the compliment on my garden. I plant a lot of pretty reliable stuff (zinnias, dahlias, etc.) and then try experiments with other things which are not necessarily so reliable!! I also have a lot of perennials which help out. Our good weather is finally showing up (65 degrees yesterday) and it's great to get outside again.

Hi everyone, I noticed that all the people who have posted on this thread share similar climate zones. I also live in a dry area. (Eastern Washington not like Seattle at all!) We get some snow and freezing in the winter and hot dry summers. Our weather has just started to hit the 60's the last week or so. I've got my pre season plugs going and will plant my seed trays today and tomorrow. Exciting time of the year for me. I am learning how to use the three season greenhouse my husband built for me two years ago.
This big guy visited my yard again this winter (yuck) He is eating my mountain ash trees!!

Good luck to all of you with your gardens this year!
