My radishes look great on the outside, but the insides are hollow and kinda spongy. Any idea why?

Sounds like you let them get tto big, or let them satnd too long.
Up here variety makes a big difference.
We use the Red Satin from Harris. It is good except the real hot part of summer.
Must keep them watered though. We use T-Tape on them.
White ones are Ping Pong.
Purple are Amethst.
I can't remember the variety, but they all seem to be like that, even the smaller ones. Maybe they did stay in too long. Thanks for the info. And we did get some very warm weather early on...
I think you found the problem right there, very warm weather early on.
