Has anybody tried interplanting just corn, squash and beans in a raised garden bed? Any reasons not to?
The beds are 16'x32"x12" and get sun after 11am and are against a wire fence if needed for staking.

Guess that would depend on the variety of each ,just let me relate my experience with interplanting I planted corn along with some pole beans the corn was planted in rows 36" apart Old school the beans grew like they were wild crossing from row to row and in general just made a mess...
Older varieties of corn could grow 12' tall. I always figured I would need a fence behind the corn for beans to grow on, to keep
beans from pulling the corn down, and squash needs space so they would need between sections of corn.
