What is up with this Cherokee bean?

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

I planted this two years ago. It did not produce any top growth at all last year, but it appears to still be alive. Is it a goner?

It looks alive to me. I'd water and tend carefully and see what happens.

Mine hasn't come up yet, so don't give up, they are odd but beautiful plants.

Thanks, I thought you meant the Cherokee bean that was edible...

Mine always looks like that (dormant) until around late April or early May, I think.
Should be fine. I have more seeds, if you would like some (although probably too late for this year??)
