Here is Van Sion blooming in Tennessee. This nice bulb came from a grower in Pennsylvania, but my garden also includes locally grown heirloom examples that are also just opening.

One of my favorites. However mine aren't anywhere as close to blooming as yours. What zone are you in? Patti

Hi Patti,
I'm in Tennessee and zone 7. Here is a picture with the sun out. It was taken March 12. This bulb is growing in a container which was buried in sand and leaf mulch over the winter. I have pulled it out of its burial spot now for a closer look.
