It's been a few years since I grew a brug...maybe 7 yrs or so I think. Bought a couple inexpensive 8" cuttings off eBay. One is a single white--unnamed but pretty, one Angel's Swingtime and a bonus of Wanda Sue was included. The white has a Y on it and some tiny leaf growth already.
I'm going back through the posts for tips and info as it has been a while since the last one:lol: That one was ensign yellow and a 14" cutting which I was able to start outside in April in a 5 gallon weighted down bucket w/ some drainage holes I drilled out. Ended up with a 6' plant loaded with blooms by late July through frost. Didn't really have a plan for overwintering and lost it. I'm thinking of trying to plant at least one of these in the ground and see how it overwinters. We've had really mild winters and I think the brick apt building has a good heat holding microclimate that would help keep the roots from freezing solid if I plant close to the building foundation.
Finding all sorts of good stuff and great photos and wish list fodder:lol:
Getting started again...
Well welcome back to this side of Brugging! Hope those work well for you. I have bought from that seller twice and never go any of them to root... Maybe the wrong time of year.
Thanks:) I've got some of the little white root nubs making an appearance so I'll be able to pot them up soon. I saw a yard near my neighborhood where someone has one in their yard and it's come back for a couple of years now so if the winters stay mild and I don't kill em before then, I may try that.
Happy yo hear it is working out for you!! With a little luck your babies should do just fine!
