My family and I are going to spend a few nights in Brenham. We plan to do the Blue Bell tour and the Antique Rose Emporium. Does anyone have any restaurant or activity recommendations for the area? Bonus points for something that a 9 year old would enjoy. :)
Off topic: Brenham recommendations
What? She doesn't think the ARE is the best ever?
Those are the only 2 things I even know that are down there. Blue bell is the best, but I'm not 9.
There are miniature horses. Look them up on google. They are open almost every day 9-5
Too bad but it looks like the monastery that had the miniature horses is no longer there. My daughter would have loved that!
Why don't y'all come back east a few miles to the farm? We have a Clydesdale and a pair of donkeys to feed and pet, baby goats to feed, a pond to fish in, ducks and geese to feed, and a herd of Border Collies to throw balls for.
There is a fabulous hole in the wall Mexican restaurant here that has wonderful food. They put these fabulous sauces on things, like a Dijon mustard sauce, a sun dried tomato Alfredo type sauce, a wine butter sauce, etc. There is also a great Italian place in Brenham,

and a little west of there in Burton is a country French restaurant run by a chef who ran the Four Seasons in Houston for ten years. He is only open on the weekend, but we love it.

If you want a typical kid fun place, there is this one

Go carts, rock wall, etc.
Also in Burton is the Cotton Gin Museum

There are several local wineries, I know, not nine year old stuff, as well as great wildflower viewing, and seems like some old houses/farms where they do show how life was back then.

Ok, I'll be quiet now,
