african violets

Brooklet, GA(Zone 8a)

Does anyone have any extras or a cutting I could root of some different colors other that the purple?
I really would like to increase my violets now that I have finally learned not to kill them.

I have real pretty different color flower and different leafed AV, but right now there not blooming and I'm wondering what did I do??-- If you want some leaves I'll gladly either send them, or would you like me to try to root them first..I'm in zone 5-- would they survive if cold?? There all pretty plants. We love "em. Bon

about 5 months ago i put an AV leaf in a tiny pot and waited and waited and waited and nothing happened! the leaf didn't die but neither did any new leaves appear. woe was me! i spent the last month ignoring the poor little bugger, gave it quite the cold shoulder.

you can imagine my surprise and happiness upon discovering quite recently two tiny little leaves have popped up!

we are all a'twitter wondering what will happen next. currently my AVs have much less than optimum conditions and in my life i have never fed any of my AVs. despite all of the above, 3 of my 4 currently have flowers! (new baby will be #5)

i can't wait to see what happens once i am able to move them to an appropriate location!
