I like your priorities!
Better? chuckle...pic 1, is Sheridan, Wyo front coming... did I know it would be named Saturn? noooo...60mph gusts would have rolled me like a sausage kolache if they hadn't been head on...the winds died and 10 miles up the road I had to pull over and scrape the ice cubes off my wipers- pic 2 is AFTER the ice cubes came off. You can tell because you can see thru the windshield, I had just left the shoulder of the road. I arrived in Billings, Mt and my fuelstop had lost power, but the nex daay they were running and the roads were great! pic 3 is that Lookout Pass, Mt as you enter Idaho at the top of the pipestem..Rest area signs, I keep hoping that dog isn't a chihuahua, and finds his way to water...another image from rest area....
You get to see some wonderful country
It's more dramatic up northeast, and I always wonder what ISN'T around an Interstate... This is a beautiful country, everywhere I go I love the areas out of town...
So much of the scenery you share with us is utterly breathtaking. Keep letting us live vicariously through your travels.
Never have been west of Saint Louis by ground myself or further NE than New York state. The Rockies and the Grand Canyon though are both magnificent from the air.
take a car trip east of Denver (I70)across Vail to the White River area... in summer advised, that water is COLD. its worth it.
Yes, a LOT of the country isn't around interstates. And thanks to Lady Bird Johnson, some of the Interstates aren't plastered with bill boards.
No, but Mrs LBJ didnt realize she planted wildlife food so close to the roadways either, which hwy speeds were very hi then, but traffic loads were at least 4x less, and vehicles were far more heavy. Still, It looks better than the trash that once filled the roads barditches. Love your pix, those are places I like to go wading and exploring.
Agree....she did her best, not sure HE did.
Alert: political subtext possibly present!
Moot point. at least he wasnt a transplanted Mass boy like Bush, but I dont think i have liKeD ANY of em since Dwight D. chuckl.
