Here is our new back yard arbor that my DH built for me. This is the back wall of our garage, and it was just such a big, blank space ("before"). We didn't want a tree so close to the house, so some sort of structure seemed to be a good idea. I found this fountain at our local Ace garden center (made by Masarelli's) and it just fits perfectly. I hope to put two of my bonsai trees, one on either side of it, on top of the "wings". Just can't decide which two to use.
