2013 N Central TX RU in Arlington**April ?** Need input! NOW

OK Spring RU here we come!!!! We need to secure the pavillion in Arlington Randal Mill Park as soon as possible. I want to get feedback on two dates that Josephine and I can work with. I will hold off on the decision until we get at least 15 people to vote.

Available dates are in April: Sat 20th or Sun 21st. What is your opinion??

***FYI for newbies....***Round ups will not start until noon, we check-in, unload, eat, and then trade! After trading is winding down we have more dessert and door prizes! Then we offer or beg you to take what is left!! First picture shows the pavillion, parking and plant tables. The road is to the left as you enter the park.

Sundays work best for me because I usually work on Saturdays. If Saturday is the better day for everyone else, I can ask off as long as I know ASAP.

I think either is fine with me--it mostly depends on Ray, and I can't ask him until tonight.....if I remember.

I might be able to get there on a Saturday. Don't pick a day on my account. I'll get there if I can, and if I have to work, I'll get there some other month.

LOL too much to handle and try to bring plants, thats how old.

LOL well we just acquired two new grandsons in nov ages
7 & 10, and they play well with others ;-))

Cheryl, maybe you can trade your babysitting day with your son or daughter if we choose Sunday.

I will work something out or see everyone in the fall.

I prefer Saturday because of church on Sunday. I will try to make either day, though.

I am casting my vote for Sunday afternoon. I need to get the votes in so I can put down a deposit by Tuesday hopefully. Contact those that have come in the past that may not get on DG too often, and let them know to vote please.

Saturday is our best day for the R/U. If its on Sunday I would be very very late because of church.

Well, looks like I need to get some trades going. Either day will work for us old folks.

Saturday is best for me, as church makes it very hard to get there in time.

Afraid I'll have to miss it -- Texas Discovery Garden's big Butterfly Host and Nectar Plant Sale is that weekend and I'll be working the sale both days. You guys have fun and I'll try for the Fall RU.

Wow - the butterfly host and nectar plant sale is some stiff competition. I keep bees.....and have had butterfly gardens for years.

Um whats for sale?

There will be a plant list with prices coming out before too long. I will post a link to the site when it is available, or you can visit the Texas Discovery Gardens and Butterfly House website. Just think about it, you could own a plant that was propagated by your's truly.

LOL Well that would be great! As long as its a plant I want.

I think I'm going to try to hit the butterfly plant sale, as those are the types of plants I am most interested in, and I can pop in at no specific time on either day and still get plants. I am so busy in the spring between ponds and bees, I probably better aim for a fall roundup.

Please don,t skip the swap Gypsi we want to meet you, and we have butterfly plants too.

OK everyone…we are set!!! The date will be Sunday the 21st of April at 1pm.

Since the counts were close, I spoke with Josephine on the time and we decided to moved it to 1 o’clock, so those attending church in the area won’t be rushed. I will start the trade thread this week, so get those wants and offerings list going!!

One other person contacted me by facebook that either day would work. That was Bluesmaven (Sheryl)!
Gypsi...You should go to one event on Sat and the other on Sunday! LOL! Hope you don't miss out meeting everyone at RU, that is the best part!

Gypsi, we have several butterfly lovers on the list that will be at the RU hawking their plants. The cool thing is they are FREE and the time spent together is FUN! You won't leave empty-handed, I can guarantee it!

With Sunday I have a better chance. But it has been a wild year so far.

I hope you can make it Gypsi, you sound like a very caring and interesting person.
