I generally eat at my computer and when I can, I put all the animals outside. It turned out too cold this evening, so this is the scene in my office tonight while I have a late dinner (just got home from an auction). I am in animal rescue so not all of these dogs are here to stay.
The first pic shows the trio under my desk, at my feet. Sabrina (the great pyrenees puppy that I have begun to belong to), Summer (the collie/pom rescue), and Libby (the pit bull rescue).
2nd pic shows another trio: Jasper, a border collie/chow rescue who has decided he's staying, Spirit, the other great pyrenees who adopted me, and Alex, the black bassett hound who annoys all of his brothers and sisters.
Not seen is the 3rd great pyrenees I'm holding until her adopted dad comes for her and my sweet Nikko who is hiding behind my chair, hoping to pounce on the first morsel of food that may fall from my plate.
If I make even the slightest move, all eyes are on me instantly. Some never leave me, which is kinda creepy. Little Alex tries to outmaneuver everyone, and often does, so the others often growl at him. But fess up people. How many of you regularly experience this scenario? And how many pairs of hopeful eyes stare up at you with that question in them: What's for dinner? And where's mine?
WHAT'S FOR DINNER??
