Anyone know anything about this spice? I tried googleing it and didn't get much info. It says Whole Saffron, but I don't think it's related to the Saffron Crocus. It looks like Canna seeds so I thought I would try planting some.

I did see that flower and thought it looked like saffron sativus, the saffron you use the stamens for flavor. Could it be the same?

The picture in the link that Kay posted is the other kind of Saffron (Crocus sativus). Ditaxis heterantha is in the Euphorbiaceae family and the flower isn't right for that family.
