Button Bush- Thicket forming?

I was wondering if anyone has planted Button Bush (Cephalanthus Occidentalis) and if so, does it get out of control? I am zone 6 and I want to plant it near a spot in the yard that is wet in the spring, but dries out in the summer. It is supposed to like wet areas, but I'm afraid of it forming a thicket.
