Wow, hope some of you are hybridizing with the Double white...Species I presume? If I remember correctly, Native Habitat aka Lee hybridized a beautiful peach double using that one. In fact, I have seen that one in person-absolutely stunning. Love the Candida knigtii x aurea hybrids as well.

im out of double white now. i did email confirmation on first come, first served.
thanks for the interest again.

MsJen,
Do you have any seeds started on your Double white? I have a few on mine, but to be honest I think I have a better chance of getting the seeds pods finished on my Double oranges first.

Brugmansia ... i do not know if u are already aware of this info.: i have read in another garden forum that as soon as brugs seed pods has turned browned - the pods need to be opened right away. or the seeds would rot in the slimmy stuff inside the pod. so they claim, they dry the seeds and save them for future planting.

update: the one & only pink brug i have has grown to 4' tall. it is now forming 3 pods. so far, our night time temp has gone down to 38 degs. i still have it growing outside on a 15 gal. pot. i am so excited to see it bloom for me. this is my first adventure in growing a brug plant... ma vie

MaVieRose,
The big danger with letting pods stay on the tree to long...they will grow soft, but in most cases dry out and the some of the seeds spill out or are invaded by insects that bore into them and eat the insides of the seeds. Of course, I have had seedpods that were very green that were bored into by insects as well....

brugman, i tried to set seeds on the double white, but it would have none of it. maybe ill get better at it next year. the pod on the frosty pink is getting ready to pick i think. i did pollinate it with the double white.
redrose, im not sure if youre email isnt getting through to me or i just cant seem to find it.
please email me again!!

MsJen,
In my experience, Double white is easy to set seed on once it is at least 4-5 feet tall with many branches. Just give it a bit more time and allow it to harden up a bit. Green wood doesn't set seed good with the Double white in my experience. Seedpods on that hybrid is a bit velvety.
