I can pay postage or named daylilies or named irises if you are willing to wait until spring for the trade when I know for sure what I have.
Or, I do make candles and could whip one up to trade with if you would like.

I will do that for you. Where I live about 10 mile to the north there used to alot growing wild, I will also check there for you. It might take me a few days though hope that is alright. About how long do you want the cuttings?
Thank you so much! I would think cuttings of 8 to 10 inches would be plenty. I really appreciate your efforts. I had no idea they grew wild there, they are so pretty when in bloom...I just love them!

Cheermom, this tree is on my 'want' list, too. My neighbor has a tree, so I want to ask: how do you root the cuttings from this tree? I've tried several times, with no luck.
No, I have not secured any cuttings. I suppose I am going to have to break down and buy a tree from the nursery.

If no one else can get these started from cuttings then don't worry about it! If others have tried and failed I assure you I won't be able to get it done. I will plan to order a tree soon. Thank you everyone for your responses.
