I really studied those sparrows to try to ID these. I don't know if I'll ever get it. Thanks so much, Resin.

I reopened this one after studying the books again. Can you explain how you tell the third bird (ID as Vesper) from a Lark Sparrow. It looks like Lark to me, but I don't know what to look for.

LS has a grey, not pink bill, unstreaked flanks, and doesn't have that paler area in the middle of the ear coverts

Thanks yet again, Resin! I do see all of those points now. While the beak color and bit of light color in the middle of the ear coverts is subtle to my eye, those streaks are plain as day now that I know to look there. This was a very good learning tool for me.
