Two or three Bees have been hanging around My tomatoes.
I have never seen this kind before.
I would like to know what it is.
Does anyone recognise this strange Bee ?
Thanks for nothing Guys.
I guess you are all worried about “The Physcal Cliff”.
Good luck with that. ^_^^_^
It is a Blue Banded Bee (Amegilla)

Wow-don't live where you do. Nice pictures. So sorry no-one answered you in time.
But looks like you did just fine with'your own research and showed all of us a thing or two
in meantime. Hope your bees are doing well, I am in the learning process and could not have
helped you, but pictures are always great :)

No, but am interested in learning more about them. I do grow plenty of
flowers that attract them (intentionally) as I love seeing them around so much.
You are quite the Beecharmer Ginger! And the cute little Roo :)
Lovely photo. I used to have dragonfruit plants. I love their scent. I bet the honey would taste very good if you
had enough of them to flavor it up?
Do you partake of the fruit? Your property looks so enchanting. I could definitely enjoy a sodapop
with you on the porch in a place such as that :)
I don't keep bees either. I am actually going to make some mason bee houses soon to help pollinate my crops on my Tower Gardens. I have two dragon fruit plants, but they are small. I have no idea how long it takes for them to flower and fruit. My folks live in Lake Helen and also have a wild colony living on their property. My father mowed too close to their underground home last year and got over 50 stings. He had to go to the hospital for some meds and fluids. You can see them buzzing in and out of the ground. Kind of scary since my kids go over there to visit and could potentially end up near their hive.

What a delightful thread! I so miss keeping beez -- but left my hives behind in Illinois. The Pacific Northwest is a challenging climate for them.
