For my Baby , can you help ?

Hello everyone,

Boy Christmas is coming up on me TOO FAST ! I'm So HAPPY thou. For the FIRST TIME in three years ALL of my Children will be HOME for the Holidays !! YIPPEE !!

My Eldest Daughter , Amber has just taken up gardening.She says, 'because it reminds her of Mommy' ... HOW SWEET !! Huh ? Made me cry !

I'm always telling her about my friends here at Dave's . Say's you guys sound like so much fun.wants to join in ,but her Hubby is studing Computer Tech. and is ALWAYS on thier's !

So this is what I had planned...Daddy and I are giving her her own !! And a subscription to Dave's !! Putting together a HUGE BASKET of : tools,books,seeds,planters,pots,baskets...you name it !

Now's were I BEG for HELP ... I've run out of $$ for goodies and EASY seeds for her to start with !! What to do now ?? Need ideas !!

Thought to post for extra , old , unused seeds/tools/books/GOODIES of all kinds,but thought that might be too much to ask,as this MIGHT run into expense I can not cover even as SASE .

Then I wondered how everyone , ANYONE might feel about a "Gifts from Friends' at Dave's Garden" might work.Yah know,kinda like the Angels we had out there helping others with the subscriptions to stay here with Dave ?

I'm open to ideas.Please help me with this one okay ?

The best I can do is seeds. If you're interested, email me the kinds of things you have, and I'll try to fill in around it. Hope that might help a bit.

She is in Zone 6 I believe,Creswell Oregon.LOTS of moisture ! I have many wildflowers and perennials for her.Unfortunatly, drought tolerant ! Fast , easy annuals are what I am lacking !

Wanted to stop by and let you all know how very well Ambers Basket is coming along.Believe we may well have enough to get here WELL on her way !

Was AMAZED at how creative some of the goodies sent were !! You all are wonderful !! I do believe next year , we need to do something like this again.I'll bet we could sponser at least 10 new gardeners this way!

Just had an idea ... how about schools ... or retirement homes .... hospitals .... Gonna have to talk to dave about this one !!

1. Amber's seeds got put in the mail.

2. Then happened to have a look at your tradelist - haves and wants.

3. Noticed that some of the seeds that are on their way for Amber are some that are on your list of wants.

Hi,
I can send some seeds also, lol. If you live near a Dollar Tree check them out on other goodies for the garden. They usually have a small collection of hand tools, plant hangers(little animals that hang on the side of pots), and good looking pots. And everything is just a 1.00. can't beat that with a stick. They also usually have a great assortment of placques from Victoria's secret garden that are really neat.

i am on limited income, starting my life all over, and so is my garden. i may not have any seeds to offer but i got an idea for u! that is... if ur daughter have a computer, why not make her a diskette of bookmarks - relating to how plants are started, how to grow or environment the plants will grow in. if not, print hard copy of the seeds u have in the basket for ur daughter. the hard copy or print out, u can file on a folder... alphabetize the plant accdg to name for easy access. just a thought... ma vie

She WILL have a computer.Thats why daddy and I started putting this 'Dave's Garden friends' basket together.We are buying her the Computer,and getting her the script for Daves'...I'm always talking about you guys...She thinks your all great and we're having so much fun !!

I can help you get your garden back together...I'm in zone 5/6 , but I'm always getting things as 'bonuses' i can't grow here.I am ALWAYS happy to share !!

Wish we had a Dollar Tree here.I live in NOWHERE LAND !! But wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING !! No even to save some $$. Somethings you just can't buy !! PIECE OF MIND !!!
