Several weeks ago I ordered some crocus bulbs from a gardening website. A few days later I wound up in the er, had surgery and was in the hospital for several days. The crocus finally arrived about 2 weeks ago. I'm still not physically up to working in the garden. What should I do with the bulbs in the meantime? They're still in the box in which they arrived.
I appreciate any help you are able to give me.
Question about crocus
Well, they need a cold period to bloom and grow, so I suggest you throw them in the refrigerator (away from any ripening fruit, like apples or pears). That is what I do with bulbs when I must delay planting them.
Just put the whole box in the fridge.
DonnaMack, Thanks a bunch. I'll do it right now. Have a great weekend:)
You too!
