I spotted this tree while in East Texas. Can you tell me what it is? What other trees grow in East Texas that turn fall colors?

It looks like a Bradford Pear, pretty colors but not native.
Most of em doin northern colors are imports- wild persimmon, dogwood, plums - not sure which part of east Tx you are asking abt, but redoaks do grow in some of the areas of the state that turn red, elms turn yellow..
Sweet gum leaves will have every color from almost black purple to peach colored, red, orange, yellow on the same tree... gorgeous! and black gum have the brightest red leaves of any tree. Dogwoods are red in the fall...so pretty. Sassafras trees have peachy, orangey, red leaves in fall.

Imports are things like the Bradford pear, Chinese pistache, - I had forgotten abt the sweetgums, chuckl, we have also hickories, walnuts, pecans- tho far south they don't get touched by the cold as much as the northern areas - I have pix but don't have wifi for uploading them, may get a chance to tho on my way to Az
