An ID would be nice, unfortunately I didn't get the wing pattern up close because he was in such an awkward position. This dragonfly was clinging onto my balcony railing and just stayed there, periodically twitching it's head. I am wondering, what is the black stuff on where I circled? I don't know if it's normal but I noticed after taking a picture and was wondering if maybe it was sick? Thanks :)
Possibly a parasite of some kind.
