This hawk grabbed a golf ball out of a sand trap and flew over to a bench, where it watched over the ball for about 20 minutes.
Hawk Guarding Stolen Golf Ball
Did you ever hear the news about the golfer who killed a Red-tailed hawk by hitting balls at it? This happened a few years ago.
Probably waiting to see if it was alive and worth eating, or not.
Or maybe just enjoying the Ryder Cup? ;-)
Resin
Oh Resin, must you rub it in? haha. That's too funny about the hawk!
I unfortunately hit a meadowlark with a three wood from about 180 yards. It just exploded.
I heard about behavior with other birds that want to incubate the golf ball - but the hawk must have thought it was prey. Or it was embarrassed and needed the time to convince everybody he/she had done it on purpose?
