I love lemons, a lot, but this year I cannot eat the Meyers without my liver hurting, burns and I get miserable- as if they were more like grapefruits than lemons! I found some old fashioned 'citrons' lemons and I can easily sit down and eat the whole thing with no issues whatsoever, but one teeny slice of a Meyer and I want to get sick. Anyone else having these issues with the Meyers?

I simply think they arent acid enough, like not making lemonade with them. I already know that red grapefruit juice and meds can cause your liver to turn hard, cold dark and crumbly, and I love Ruby reds, but didnt handle that pain at all!!! That is what I meant by the same reaction to the flavors, MY liver starts hurting, and I want to get sick just smelling em. I think I probably eat too many lemons, too, chuckl
