I picked up this seed in Florida and planted it. It came up fairly quickly and has grown all summer but I have no clue as to it's name. Can anyone help me out.
The seed germinated but what is it?
Try Acacia cornigera.

Or jacaranda? Here's a pic of the foliage on mine.
What did the seed look like? If it had a big, hard seed pot shaped sort of like an ear, it could be jacaranda.
I don't recall Jacaranda having the very large thorns as seen in pic 2. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

You're so right, I didn't notice the thorns. Just looked at the leaves.
It sure looks like a Acacia cornigera. I'm going to go with that. I'll let you know as it gets older if it Acacia. Thank you olddude. :)
