It would be difficult to show the true diversity of color on this bloom. From first opening of yellow with prominent red streaks to the softening of colors as it matures. And very robust stems with lots of blooms.

Very true. I am amazed at the strength and length of some of the dahlias new to me. Huge flowers supported very well. I guess they would be described as great as cut flowers.

Poochella used to reign here on DG as the dahlia queen and she had a huge assortment of dahlias and, I believe, sold to florists. You could do a search for her name and "cut flowers", under the Dahlia Forum and you will find her top choices.
