what the heck has invaded my flower bed that it took 2 days to dig the tree roots out of? there are probably a thousand of these suckers in a 12 foot radius.

Probably not, this plant's seeds hitch a ride in the soil of potted plants from the nursery trade, it is very pervasive.

This year it is everywhere and very hardy!!! Awful weed.
